What TravelGearly is
TravelGearly is a travel planning utility and gear guide. Instead of another long blog or a giant catalogue, we build small tools that turn your trip details into a practical travel essentials checklist — and then point you to the few pieces of gear worth buying, if any.
Everything on the site is designed to answer five questions:
- What do I need? — the packing list generator
- Am I ready to leave the country? — the international trip checklist
- Will my luggage be within the limit? — the luggage weight calculator
- How much will it cost? — the travel budget calculator
- What should I buy? — the essentials finder and gear guides
How we research
Our guides are written and maintained by the TravelGearly Editorial Team. We work from:
- Official guidance from airlines, airport security (BCAS), IATA, embassies and tourism boards
- Manufacturer specifications for gear
- Well-established seasonal climate patterns for each destination
- Structured packing rules that we publish openly on the tool pages
Rules that change often — visas, baggage allowances, permits — are written as prompts to check official sources, not as guarantees. Each guide shows when it was last updated.
What we don’t do
- We don’t publish invented reviews, ratings, prices, statistics or personal stories.
- We don’t rank products by commission.
- We don’t require accounts or collect the details you type into our tools.
